Joseph Gonzales, the brother of convicted murderer Fabian Gonzales, will remain behind bars until trial. The state asked the court to keep 44-year-old Gonzales locked up after Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies say he shot and killed Abner Antillon in the South Valley in August over an argument about speeding, reports KRQE TV. Prosecutors showed security camera footage that captured the killing of Antillon and Gonzales’s reaction. Antillon sped by in his truck and Gonzales yelled at him to slow down. Antillon then put the pickup in reverse, stopped, and the two began arguing.
APD’s Motor units were called to a fatal crash Tuesday involving a vehicle and a motorcycle south of the intersection of Coors Blvd. and Montano Rd., N.W. The vehicle was making a left turn from southbound Coors to eastbound into the shopping center at 5600 Coors. The motorcycle was traveling northbound and collided with the passenger side of the vehicle, causing it to roll over. The driver of the vehicle was transported to UNM Hospital in critical condition.
